🧪 Isomorphic Labs Prepares First AI-Designed Drugs for Human Trials

Alphabet’s Isomorphic Labs is gearing up for its first clinical trials, testing cancer drugs created entirely through AI. Born from DeepMind’s AlphaFold, the company believes AI can revolutionize drug design with speed, precision, and reduced costs.

The Shift:

1. From DeepMind breakthrough to clinical application - Isomorphic Labs was spun out of DeepMind, building on AlphaFold’s ability to predict complex protein structures. AlphaFold 3 advanced to simulate molecular interactions, making it far more useful for drug discovery.

2. $600M funding fuels a scalable AI drug engine - In April 2025, the company raised $600M and deepened partnerships with pharma giants like Eli Lilly. The funding supports both collaborative projects and internal drug programs in oncology and immunology.

3. Human dosing is imminent with AI-designed cancer treatments - The first clinical focus is on AI-generated cancer drugs, now ready for human testing. Teams in London are actively designing molecules alongside AI systems.

If successful, Isomorphic model could mark a new era in medicine, where designing drugs is faster, cheaper, and far more accurate. This could dramatically improve approval rates and reduce the $1B+ average cost of drug development. ā€œSolving all diseasesā€ may still be far off, but the path just got a lot clearer.

šŸŽ„ Transform Static Images into Engaging Videos with Google Veo 3

Step 1: Access Veo 3 - Navigate to TryVeo3.ai for free access without the need for login.

Step 2: Upload Your Image - Click on ā€œUpload Imageā€ and select a high-resolution image (JPG or PNG).

Step 3: Craft a Descriptive Prompt- In the prompt box, describe the desired animation.

Example: ā€œAnimate this product photo with a smooth 360° rotation on a white background, accompanied by soft ambient music.ā€

Step 4: Generate the Video- Click ā€œGenerateā€ and wait for Veo 3 to process your input.

Step 5: Review and Download- Preview the generated video. If satisfied, download it for use in your marketing materials.

Use Cases for Marketers:

  • Create dynamic product showcase videos for social media.

  • Develop engaging content for email campaigns.

  • Enhance landing pages with animated visuals.

By leveraging Google Veo 3, marketers can efficiently convert static images into compelling videos, enhancing audience engagement without the need for extensive video production resources.

🧠 Managers Are Now Letting AI Decide Who Stays or Goes

AI isn’t just helping managers, it’s making final calls on raises, promotions, and even firings. A new survey of 1,342 U.S. managers found that most are using tools like ChatGPT and Copilot to manage teams with little training or oversight.

The Shift:

1. AI now influences nearly every major people decision -  Among managers using AI, 78% rely on it for raises, 77% for promotions, and 64% for firings. Over 20% say they often let AI make final decisions without review. Despite these stakes, two-thirds haven’t received formal AI training.

2. ChatGPT dominates as the go-to decision tool - 53% of AI-using managers lean on ChatGPT, far ahead of Microsoft Copilot (29%) and Google Gemini (16%). Most managers also use AI to write training material, create development plans, and evaluate performance. Many trust AI’s ā€œfairnessā€ despite known risks.

3. AI is already replacing human jobs - Nearly half of managers were asked to assess if AI could replace employees. 57% of those found it could, and 43% actually did it.

AI is rapidly becoming the invisible hand in workplace decisions, but without ethics, training, or clear rules, it risks eroding trust and making biased, irreversible calls. What starts with entry-level cuts could soon move up the chain.
