🤖 Anthropic Upgrades Its Everyday AI Model

Anthropic has introduced Sonnet 5, the latest version of its mid-tier model, bringing more advanced reasoning and autonomous capabilities to a lower-cost offering just as export restrictions on its flagship models are being lifted.

The Shift:

More Agentic Than Before - Anthropic says Sonnet 5 delivers major gains in coding, reasoning, and knowledge work, bringing capabilities previously associated with its premium Opus models into a more accessible tier.

The model can operate browsers and terminals while handling longer-running tasks, allowing it to complete more complex workflows with greater autonomy than previous Sonnet releases.

Different Safety Trade-Off - Anthropic says Sonnet 5 scores lower on cybersecurity benchmarks than Sonnet 4.6 because it was not specifically trained to improve offensive cybersecurity capabilities.

Sonnet 5 is rolling out across Anthropic's plans, with introductory API pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through August 31.

Anthropic is bringing increasingly capable AI to lower-priced models instead of reserving advanced features for premium tiers.

That makes sophisticated agentic workflows more accessible while maintaining a clear separation between everyday use cases and its flagship frontier models.

The Last Time Stocks Were This Expensive Was December 1999.

"Right now, it's good. But it was in '72, '86, 2000, and 2007." - Jamie Dimon, May 2026.

The Shiller CAPE ratio just hit 42.3. The only time in 140 years it's been higher? December 1999.

Stocks can stay expensive for a long time...

It’s one metric to consider, but when your portfolio is built around the most expensive equities in modern history, what else you diversify with could really matter.

Blue-chip contemporary and post war art has shown near-zero correlation with the S&P since 1995.* Prices are largely driven by private collectors competing for a fixed supply of artwork by artists like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso.

Masterworks lets you invest in shares of that market.

  • $1.3B deployed across 500+ artworks

  • 29 exits to date

  • Net annualized returns like 16.5%, 17.6%, and 17.8%, not including those unsold

📹How to Get a Motion Design Demo Video in 20 Minutes With Roughcut

Agencies charge $12,000 and take six weeks. Roughcut does the same job in 20 minutes for $29. Here's how.

Step 1: Write your voiceover script - Type exactly what you want narrated. This is your video's spine, every scene gets built around it.

Step 2: Describe your product - Add your product name and one line on what it does. Roughcut uses this to make sure every scene matches what you actually ship.

Step 3: Pick your brand color and style - Choose your main color. The entire video, motion, backgrounds, text, follows it automatically.

Step 4: Hit generate - Roughcut breaks your script into scenes, animates them, adds a lifelike voiceover, scores music and sound design, and delivers a finished 1080p MP4. About 20 minutes start to finish.

Step 5: Download and shi- No watermark. The file is yours. Drop it on your landing page, social, or product launch the same day.

No timeline. No keyframes. No brief. No six-week wait.

Starts at $29/month for one video. Pro plan gets you four videos a month at $24.75 each. You can get your video here.
