🤖 ChatGPT Still Leads the Consumer AI Market

a16z’s latest ranking of the top 100 generative AI consumer apps shows how quickly the category is expanding. AI is no longer limited to chatbots and image generators as assistants, creative tools, and agent platforms spread across mainstream consumer software.

The Shift:

1. ChatGPT Still Dominates the Market - ChatGPT crossed 900M weekly users globally and remains the largest consumer AI product, still 2.7× larger than Gemini on web traffic and 2.5× larger on mobile usage.

2. Rivals Are Growing, and Users Are Multi-Homing - The competitive gap is narrowing as Claude and Gemini grew paid subscribers by over 200% last year, and roughly 20% of ChatGPT web users also use Gemini.

3. AI Is Now Embedded in Mainstream Consumer Apps - The list now includes AI-enhanced products like CapCut, Canva, Notion, and Grammarly, reflecting how generative AI features are becoming central to widely used software.

4. Agentic AI and Platform Ecosystems Are Emerging - Task-executing AI tools such as Manus (#44) and Genspark (#47) are gaining traction while assistants expand integrations with apps and workflows, creating ecosystems that make switching platforms increasingly difficult.

Three distinct ecosystems are forming across Western, Chinese, and Russian platforms, while AI is increasingly embedded across browsers, developer tools, and productivity software, suggesting that traditional rankings may soon underestimate where real AI usage actually happens.

Together with Wispr Flow

Your AI tools are only as good as your prompts.

Most people type short, lazy prompts because writing detailed ones takes forever. The result? Generic outputs.

Wispr Flow lets you speak your prompts instead of typing them. Talk through your thinking naturally - include context, constraints, examples - and Flow gives you clean text ready to paste. No filler words. No cleanup.

Works inside ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and every other AI tool you use. System-level integration means zero setup.

Millions of users worldwide. Teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay use Flow daily. Now available on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android - free and unlimited on Android during launch.

📹How to Create a Consistent AI Ad With Keyframe

Most AI video tools fall apart the moment your subject changes angle. Keyframe fixes that.

Step 1: Pick your visual style. 50+ film styles to set the look of your entire campaign, Cinematic Realism, Luxury Fashion Editorial, Retro VHS, and more.

Step 2: Upload your character and product. Drop in reference images. Keyframe locks their appearance, same face, same product, across every shot, regardless of angle or lighting.

Step 3: Describe the ad. Write the mood, setting, and number of scenes in plain language. No prompt engineering needed.

Step 4: Review the storyboard. Keyframe writes every shot automatically, with detailed prompts already aligned to your brief.

Step 5: Edit and export Trim, reorder, adjust, and export up to 4K.

One reference image. One text description. A full ad, visually consistent from first frame to last. Currently in closed beta. You can join the waitlist here.

🤖 Meta Acquires Moltbook Creators

Meta has acquired Moltbook, a viral social network built for AI agents, and hired its creators into Meta Superintelligence Labs. The move highlights how tech companies are racing to build infrastructure for autonomous agents.

The Shift:

1. Meta Brings Moltbook Creators Into Superintelligence Labs - Meta acquired Moltbook founders Matt Schlicht and Ben Parr, bringing them into Superintelligence Labs led by Alexandr Wang. The deal is expected to close in mid-March as Meta expands its push into agent-driven AI systems.

2. A Social Network Built for AI Agents - Schlicht launched Moltbook in late January as a weekend project, building much of it with his OpenClaw bot Clawd Clawderberg. The platform lets AI agents verify identity, interact, and coordinate actions.

3. Rapid Growth and Viral Agent Culture - Moltbook quickly reached 2.8 million registered bots with nearly 200,000 verified to real users, creating an always-on directory for agents. Viral posts and experiments drove attention across the developer community.

4. Competition for Agent Infrastructure Is Intensifying - The acquisition comes weeks after OpenAI hired OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger, whom Mark Zuckerberg reportedly tried recruiting first.

Platforms where AI agents identify themselves, coordinate tasks, and interact with other systems could become a foundational layer of the AI economy. Companies that control this layer may shape how autonomous software operates online.
