🧠Claude Starts Acting Like a Work OS
Claude just crossed a real threshold. Instead of helping you describe work, it now lets you do the work inside chat. With interactive apps powered by MCP, Claude is starting to feel less like a chatbot and more like a workspace layer.
The Shift:
1) Real apps now run inside Claude - Claude can now open and operate apps directly inside chat, not just return text. The first rollout includes Asana, Figma, Canva, Slack, Box, Amplitude, Clay, Hex, and Monday, with Salesforce integrations coming soon.
You can draft and send Slack messages, edit Canva decks, manage projects, and explore charts visually without switching tabs, shifting Claude from explaining work to actively executing and refining it in real time.
3) Built on MCP, not a closed system - The integrations run on MCP Apps, a new open extension of Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol. That means other AI platforms can build the same app-style experiences.
Every action requires explicit user consent before execution, and enterprise admins can control which tools employees can access. The feature is available at no extra cost to Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users.
This is Claude moving from assistant to infrastructure. When apps live inside AI, the interface for work changes entirely. The next question isn’t capability. It’s how teams balance speed, control, and trust as agents take on real actions.

📱 How to Build a “What Should I Do Today?” App with Emergent
This app turns long-term goals into clear daily actions and adapts in real time when priorities change. Instead of managing tasks, you talk to the app and it recalculates what matters today.
How to build it on Emergent
Open Emergent and select the Mobile Agent: Go to emergent.sh and start a new project using the Mobile Agent. This handles backend, frontend, and logic together.
Define the long-term goal first: Tell the agent what the user is trying to achieve, like scaling a DTC brand, improving ROAS, or launching new SKUs.
Ask it to generate adaptive short-term goals: Instruct the agent to break the long-term goal into weekly and daily actions that can update based on progress or user input.
Make it conversational: Tell the agent users should be able to say things like “reduce scope today” or “shift focus to creatives,” and the plan should update automatically.
Add reminders and feedback loops: Ask for push notifications, end-of-day check-ins, and simple progress tracking so users actually follow through.

🌪️ Nvidia Brings AI to Weather Forecasting
Weather forecasts broke down just as a massive winter storm hit the U.S., with wildly different predictions across regions. Nvidia’s timing looked suspiciously perfect. At the same moment, it unveiled new AI models that claim sharper accuracy, faster speed, and global reach.
The Shift:
1) Earth-2 challenges the old forecasting stack - Nvidia’s Earth-2 Medium Range model uses transformer-based AI instead of physics-heavy simulations. Nvidia says it beats Google DeepMind’s GenCast on over 70 forecasting variables, including longer-range predictions up to 15 days.
2) Faster forecasts without supercomputers - The Global Data Assimilation model rebuilds global weather snapshots in minutes using GPUs, replacing processes that traditionally consume half of total supercomputing resources.
3) Real-time, global storm awareness - The Nowcasting model focuses on the next zero to six hours using satellite data, making it adaptable anywhere with coverage, making it especially useful for governments and regions that lack advanced local forecasting infrastructure.
If Nvidia’s claims hold, this isn’t just incremental progress. Earth-2 beating GenCast across 70 plus variables means AI forecasting is compounding fast, not plateauing. When each new model outperforms a state-of-the-art system released just months earlier, long-range weather prediction starts shifting from uncertainty to strategic advantage.
