🔐 AI security flaws expose new risks
Two separate AI security incidents involving Google and Meta surfaced this week, highlighting how attackers are beginning to exploit the growing access AI systems have to notifications, accounts, and sensitive user actions.

🤖 Meta AI helped hackers access accounts
Researchers found that Meta's AI-powered support system could be tricked into changing account recovery details, allowing attackers to gain access to prominent Instagram accounts through automated password reset flows.
The exploit reportedly affected accounts, including a dormant Barack Obama profile, Sephora, and Space Force chief John Bentivegna, before Meta fixed the issue and began securing impacted accounts.
📱 Hidden messages fooled Gemini
Researchers at SafeBreach showed that Gemini could be manipulated through hidden instructions embedded inside ordinary messages, allowing attacker commands to be processed through notifications without any warning to the user.
The attack worked across WhatsApp, Slack, Signal, Messenger, Instagram, and SMS, enabling scenarios such as data theft, phishing, unauthorized actions, account takeover preparation, and silent surveillance.
Both incidents point to a broader challenge facing the AI industry. As assistants gain access to messages, accounts, and workflows, attackers are increasingly targeting the AI layer itself rather than the underlying apps, creating entirely new security risks that companies will need to address.

$1.1 Billion in Art Sold in Less Than Three Hours
A single evening only brought in $1 billion at auction one other time, Paul Allen’s estate in 2022.
Christie’s May 18 evening sale was headlined by:
Pollock: $181.2M, nearly 3x his previous record
Brancusi: $107.6M, second highest sculpture price ever
Rothko: $98.4M, a new record for the artist
Obvious outliers, but the evening capped a spring auction season that totaled $2.5 billion (roughly 2x last year). This follows a Q1’26 that saw the postwar contemporary art market grow 23.1%.
Masterworks offers investors the opportunity to invest in blue-chip contemporary and post-war art. Since 2017, it has offered over 500 artworks and raised over $1 billion in total investments.
29 exits to-date have delivered net annualized returns like 16.5%, 17.6% and 17.8% on sold works held over 12 months.

🤑 How to Fill Your Sales Calendar Without a Single BDR Hire
Most teams hire 3 BDRs, burn 6 months ramping them, and still miss pipeline targets. Ava starts working on day one.

Step 1: Define who you want to reach - Tell Ava your ideal customer: industry, company size, job title, region. She searches 250M+ verified B2B contacts and builds the list automatically.
Step 2: She finds who's ready to buy right now - Ava monitors real-time intent signals like funding rounds, leadership hires, and website visits, then surfaces the prospects most likely to convert before your competitors reach them.
Step 3: She writes and sends personalized outreach - Every message is personalized using live prospect data. Ava launches multi-channel sequences across email and social without a single template built by hand.
Step 4: She optimizes without being asked - Ava runs dozens of message variations simultaneously across subject lines, structure, tone, and CTAs, then automatically shifts volume toward what's converting.
Step 5: She books the meeting - Ava handles every reply, qualifies leads, pushes back on objections, and drops confirmed meetings directly on your rep's calendar. Your team shows up to calls and nothing else.
SaaStr replaced their entire outbound team with Ava. Open rates doubled. $100K deals closing daily. SumUp hit $52 cost per lead across hundreds of thousands of sends. You can hire Ava for free here.
🎨 Image generation is becoming more controllable
Two image AI labs, Reve and Ideogram, released major new models this week. Both are moving beyond traditional prompt-based image generation and adopting layout-based systems that give users much more control over how images are created, edited, and refined.

The Shift:
Strong benchmark performance - Ideogram 4.0 is now the highest-ranked open image model on Design Arena, trailing only OpenAI and Google's closed models, while Reve 2.0 climbed to the No. 2 position on the overall Text-to-Image leaderboard behind GPT-image-2.
Built for creative work - Ideogram 4.0 stands out in text rendering, typography, and graphic design, with professional designers in Contra's testing preferring its outputs over several leading image generation competitors.
Users can edit specific elements - Reve 2.0 generates images with labeled segments, allowing users to adjust individual objects or regions instead of regenerating an entire image whenever a single detail needs changing.
Images are becoming programmable - Reve edits images by rewriting structured layouts rather than prompts, while Ideogram uses a similar JSON-based approach, giving users more precise control over composition and visual changes.
The biggest story is not just better image quality, but better control. AI image generation is gradually shifting from prompt guessing toward structured editing, making it easier for designers, marketers, and AI agents to create and modify visuals with far greater precision.
