⏳Google Unveils Veo 3.1 with Major Flow Upgrades

Google just launched Veo 3.1, its newest AI video generation model, alongside major Flow updates that give creators richer control and audio-driven storytelling.

The Shift:

1️⃣ Greater Creative Control in Flow - Flow now supports detailed editing with features like Insert to add new elements and Remove to clean up scenes seamlessly. You can refine clips frame by frame, adjusting visuals and composition without leaving the Flow environment.

2️⃣ Audio Across Every Feature - For the first time, audio extends to Ingredients to Video, Frames to Video, and Extend, enabling users to create cohesive, sound-rich sequences. Veo 3.1 can use up to three reference images to maintain character consistency and generate matching soundscapes.

3️⃣ Extended and Seamless Shots - The new Extend feature lets users produce clips lasting over a minute by chaining scenes together naturally. By generating from the last second of a prior clip, Flow keeps continuity smooth for long-form storytelling or establishing sequences.

While OpenAI’s Sora 2 may have grabbed attention, Google’s Veo 3.1 is quietly doubling down on creative control, realism, and integrated editing. For filmmakers and visual creators, it marks a transition from one-off clips to cohesive AI filmmaking, signaling that the next race isn’t just about generation speed, but about control, coherence, and craft.

🎬 Veo 3.1 + Higgsfield: Create Multi-Shot Cinematics in 1080p

Higgsfield just leveled up Google’s Veo 3.1, now with native 1080p, multi-shot sequencing, and full Draw-to-Video support.

How to use it:

  • Write one simple prompt

  • Generate up to 4 shots with transitions in 8s

  • Use sketches for Draw-to-Video at full res, with native interpolation

No upscaling. No quality loss. Just clean, cinematic sequences with Director-level control.

🪝Claude Haiku 4.5 pushes frontier performance into small-model territory

Anthropic just launched Claude Haiku 4.5, a compact model delivering near-Sonnet 4 performance at a fraction of the cost and speed, redefining what small models can do.

The Shift:

1️⃣ Power and Efficiency Combined - Haiku 4.5 matches Claude Sonnet 4’s coding benchmarks while running more than twice as fast and costing only $1 per million input tokens. It even outperforms Sonnet 4 on computer use, math, and agentic tool tasks, bringing high-end capabilities to real-time applications like chat, support, and coding.

2️⃣ Multi-Agent Collaboration with Sonnet 4.5 - Enterprises can now use Sonnet 4.5 as a coordinator to orchestrate multiple Haiku 4.5 agents running subtasks in parallel. This setup makes complex workflows faster and cheaper.

3️⃣ Safety and Deployment Ready - Anthropic’s safety evaluations show Haiku 4.5 is its safest model yet, with lower misalignment rates than Sonnet 4.5 or Opus 4.1. Classified under AI Safety Level 2 (ASL-2), it’s available immediately through the Claude API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI, with full Claude app integration.

Haiku 4.5 proves how quickly the economics of AI are collapsing; what was premium just months ago is now real-time, scalable, and cheap enough for mass deployment. Anthropic is turning intelligence into an abundant, cost-efficient resource, reshaping how developers and enterprises scale AI infrastructure.
