👨‍💻 GPT-5.2-Codex Pushes Agentic Coding Forward

OpenAI has released GPT-5.2-Codex, its most advanced agentic coding model, now live across all Codex surfaces for paid ChatGPT users. API access is coming later, alongside an invite-only trusted access pilot for vetted cybersecurity professionals.

The Shift:

1. Designed for Real Software Work - GPT-5.2-Codex is built for long, complex coding tasks like large refactors, migrations, and feature builds.

It keeps context intact over extended sessions and performs strongly on real-world benchmarks like SWE-Bench Pro and Terminal-Bench 2.0, including improved reliability on Windows.

2. Works Across Code, Screens, and Mocks - The model can understand screenshots, UI designs, diagrams, and charts, then turn them into working code, making it useful for taking design mocks to prototypes and continuing iteration without restarting workflows.

3. Stronger Security, Carefully Deployed - GPT-5.2-Codex shows a major jump in cybersecurity capability, including helping uncover real React vulnerabilities during defensive research.

As OpenAI increases agentic power in tools like Codex, it is also tightening human control elsewhere. New personalization controls let users directly adjust ChatGPT’s warmth, enthusiasm, emoji use, and structure, responding to concerns around overly affirming or manipulative AI behavior.

🌐 How to Control the Web Like an API Using Comet

One of the most underused powers of AI right now is simple: telling it to do things, not just explain them. Comet turns the entire web into something you can operate with instructions.

How it works

  1. Describe the task: Tell Comet exactly what you want done, like scraping content from a site, updating a Google Doc, creating credentials in a dashboard, or moving data between tools.

  2. Let it execute across the web: Comet navigates websites, clicks buttons, fills forms, extracts data, and completes workflows end to end.

  3. Get results, not explanations: Instead of step-by-step guidance, you get the finished outcome. The work just… happens.

Think of it as an API for the entire internet, controlled by plain English.

🤖 Europol Warns AI and Robots Will Reshape Crime and Policing

Europol’s Innovation Lab has released a scenario-based report examining how AI, robotics, and unmanned systems could impact crime and law enforcement by 2035. The report outlines how these technologies may empower both police forces and criminal groups.

The Shift:

🔹 Robots Become Tools for Crime - Europol warns that drones, care robots, and autonomous vehicles could be hijacked to spy, steal data, manipulate victims, or act as physical weapons. Drone swarms, already seen in conflict zones, may be repurposed for terrorism or organized crime.

Future robots may be difficult to seize, interrogate, or contain once captured. Police may struggle to determine whether harmful behavior is intentional or accidental, especially in cases involving autonomous systems.

🔹 Criminals Are Already Ahead - The report notes that smugglers and gangs already use drones and autonomous vehicles. Online markets for skilled drone pilots are emerging, widening the capability gap between criminals and undertrained police units.

Europol calls for major investment in AI, robotics, and cybersecurity training, alongside a shift toward 3D policing. Researchers also warn that police misuse and privacy violations must be addressed alongside criminal threats.

The report argues that the risk is not just advanced technology, but uneven readiness. Without better training, oversight, and accountability, AI and robotics could deepen tensions between law enforcement and society rather than improve public safety.

🧩 Prompt of the Day

How to Create Emotional Messaging That Actually Drives Engagement

Turn flat, rational copy into emotionally resonant messaging that makes people feel something and act.

Paste the prompt: Drop this into ChatGPT, then choose the 3 emotions that most strongly influence why your customers buy and stay loyal.

Prompt to paste:

Identify 3 core emotions to evoke in customers for [Brand or Product]. For each emotion, explain why it matters in the buying decision, list the key emotional trigger behind it, and create 2 to 3 short messaging examples that could be used in ads, landing pages, or emails. Also, include one common mistake to avoid when using that emotion so the message does not feel manipulative or generic. Keep the language human, specific, and conversion-focused.
