🏛️ OpenAI Just Published a Policy Blueprint for the Age of Superintelligence
OpenAI released a 13-page document called "Industrial Policy in the Intelligence Age" with sweeping proposals for how society should adapt to AI. Sam Altman told Axios the moment requires a new "social contract." Axios called it the most detailed blueprint any tech titan has ever published for taxing and redistributing wealth from the technology they're building.
The Shift:
A Sovereign Wealth Fund Paying Every American - OpenAI's most aggressive proposal is a fund seeded by AI firms that would pay dividends to every citizen, modeled directly on how Alaska distributes oil revenue to its residents through the Permanent Fund.
Taxes, Robot Labor, and a 4-Day Workweek - Other ideas include taxing AI-driven profits, implementing a four-day workweek, guaranteeing "Right to AI" access for all citizens, and developing containment playbooks for rogue autonomous AI systems before they become a threat.
OpenAI Wants Feedback and Researchers - The company is collecting public input at [email protected] and launching a pilot fellowship and research grant program offering up to $100K plus $1M in API credits to people working on these questions.
A New DC Workshop Opens in May - OpenAI is opening a Washington DC workshop in May to host ongoing policy discussions, signaling that the company wants to be at the table when governments start writing the rules for the AI era rather than reacting to them.

📲 Pika Lets You Video Chat With AI, and Anything Lets You Text Apps Into Existence
Two AI startups just rolled out unusual new ways to interact with their tools. Pika introduced video calls with AI clones on Google Meet, and Anything launched an app builder that runs entirely through iMessage after Apple delisted the company's app from the App Store.
Pika has launched a video call feature that lets users hop on Google Meet with their AI agent, complete with a face, voice, and personality. It turns what's normally a chat box exchange into an actual face-to-face conversation.
The feature is powered by Pika's new PikaStream 1.0 model, the company's first system built specifically for real-time video interaction with AI clones rather than the static chat interfaces most agents still use today. Watch the release video here.
Anything has launched a new text-to-app feature that lets users build full apps by texting back and forth with the platform over iMessage. No dashboard, no IDE, just messages and a working app at the end of the conversation.
The launch came after Apple delisted Anything from the App Store, pushing the team to find another way to reach users. The demo video showing the feature in action has already passed 4 million views. Watch here how it works.
