🤖 OpenClaw Creator Joins OpenAI

Peter Steinberger, creator of the viral AI assistant OpenClaw, has joined OpenAI to help build the next generation of personal agents. OpenClaw will remain open source under an independent foundation.

The Shift:

1. From One-Hour Prototype to Viral Growth - Steinberger built the first version in an hour by connecting WhatsApp to an AI coding tool. Within weeks, the project became the fastest-growing repository in GitHub history, surpassing 175,000 stars.

In a Lex Fridman interview days before the announcement, Steinberger revealed he was choosing between Meta and OpenAI. Mark Zuckerberg personally tested the tool, while Sam Altman offered early research access and significant compute resources.

2. Focus on Multi-Agent Systems - OpenAI says Steinberger will lead efforts on personal agents capable of interacting with each other. The goal is to build systems that complete practical tasks for users. Multi-agent collaboration is expected to become central to future products.

OpenClaw will move into an independent foundation. OpenAI will continue supporting it while keeping it open source. Steinberger emphasized maintaining freedom and transparency around the project.

OpenAI isn’t just trying to make ChatGPT smarter at answering questions. It’s pushing toward AI that actually does things for you. Instead of jumping between apps to manage your calendar, reply to emails, or book travel, you could handle it all through one assistant.

🚀 How to Reverse-Engineer a Viral Competitor Funnel with SEMrush One

Instead of guessing what’s working in your niche, just map it.

Here’s the step-by-step:

1️⃣ Search your competitor domain in SEMrush One

Go to Traffic & Market → Pages to see which landing pages drive the most traffic.

2️⃣ Identify their highest-traffic funnel page

Look for pages with strong traffic spikes or consistent growth.

3️⃣ Check the keywords + traffic sources behind it

See which queries are feeding that page and whether traffic comes from search, paid, or referral.

4️⃣ Analyze intent and structure

What promise does the headline make? What angle are they owning? What stage of awareness is it targeting?

5️⃣ Build a sharper version for a tighter ICP

Don’t copy. Narrow the angle, improve clarity, strengthen proof, and dominate a sub-segment.

🚀 ByteDance Launches Seed 2.0 AI Model Family

ByteDance has released Seed 2.0, a new series of general-purpose AI models, shortly after debate around its AI video technology intensified. The lineup includes Pro, Lite, and Mini versions focused on multimodal reasoning and agent workflows. Early results position it as a lower-cost rival to leading Western models.

The Shift:

1. Benchmark and Cost Advantage - Seed 2.0 Pro outperforms GPT-5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro across math, reasoning, and vision tests. Input pricing is set at $0.47 per million tokens, significantly lower than competitors.

The model achieves state-of-the-art results in MathVision and leads in motion-focused benchmarks like MotionBench, improving time-series understanding and dynamic perception. Instruction-following performance also ranks at the top industry levels.

2. Agent Stability and Long-Chain Tasks - Seed 2.0 is built for real-world agent workflows. Demos show autonomous completion of 96-step CAD modeling processes in FreeCAD. The system maintains stability across multi-step reasoning chains.

A single image can be converted into a functional webpage. The model recreates layout and styling while generating runnable front-end code with animation support. It also extracts structured data from complex visual inputs.

Seed 2.0 is live in Doubao’s Expert Mode and via API, though access outside China remains limited. Combined with recent attention around Seedance 2.0, ByteDance is positioning itself as a major global AI competitor.
