🤖 CES reveals how robots are slowly moving into homes

This year’s CES made one thing clearer than ever. Consumer robots are moving beyond futuristic demos. LG, SwitchBot, and Zeroth each showed products designed to live alongside people, not just impress on a show floor.

The Shift:

Household chores take center stage - LG’s CLOiD home robot is built to handle everyday tasks like fetching items, preparing simple meals, and folding laundry. With articulated arms and tight ThinQ integration, it feels like a smart home system with a physical presence.

AI memory recorders arrive - SwitchBot’s AI MindClip records conversations and turns them into summaries, tasks, and searchable memories. The 18-gram clip supports over 100 languages, with core AI features locked behind an upcoming paid cloud subscription.

From WALL-E to home companion - Zeroth unveiled two consumer robots for the US: a WALL-E-inspired bot ($5,599) and a smaller humanoid companion ($2,899). These robots focus on interaction, monitoring, and light assistance rather than heavy labor.

Consumer robotics is shifting from novelty to usefulness. These launches show companies testing what people will actually live with day to day. The robots that win will quietly reduce effort and fit naturally into everyday home life.

Attention spans are shrinking. Get proven tips on how to adapt:

Mobile attention is collapsing.

In 2018, mobile ads held attention for 3.4 seconds on average.
Today, it’s just 2.2 seconds.

That’s a 35% drop in only 7 years. And a massive challenge for marketers.

📉 How to Spot Ad → Landing Page Mismatch Before It Kills Conversions

Most funnels don’t fail because of traffic or creatives. They fail because the ad promise and the landing page reality don’t line up. Here’s a simple way to audit that gap using AI.

How to do it

1. Upload your ad and landing page: Add screenshots of the paid ad and the corresponding landing page.

2. Run a congruency audit: Ask GPT to evaluate alignment across five dimensions:

  • Headline Match

  • Visual Consistency

  • Offer Alignment

  • Emotional Mirror

  • ICP Trait Callout

3. Get a scored breakdown: Each category is scored from 1–5, with reasoning and specific fixes for weak areas.

4. Fix the lowest score first: Start with the biggest disconnect. Even one fix can lift CVR without touching traffic or spend.

Use this before scaling any campaign. It’s the fastest way to find silent leaks in your funnel.

🤖 Meta acquires Manus to fast-track AI agents

Meta is acquiring Manus, a Singapore-based AI startup known for high-performing autonomous agents. Manus gained attention for outperforming OpenAI-style research tools and scaling revenue rapidly. The reported acquisition price is over $2B.

The Decode:

1. A rare profitable AI product - Manus crossed $100M in annual recurring revenue within eight months of launch, giving Meta an AI product that already monetizes, easing pressure around its massive AI infrastructure spend.

Manus offers autonomous agents for deep research, coding, and complex workflows, and tops Scale’s RLI benchmark for real-world task performance. Meta plans to integrate these agents across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

2. Speed over internal rebuilding - The acquisition gives Meta a production-ready agent platform now, instead of waiting for internal models to fully mature, keeping the option open to swap in Meta’s own frontier systems later.

Manus CEO Xiao Hong will join Meta’s leadership under COO Javier Olivan, bringing roughly 100 employees, and will also cut all China operations and ownership ties post-acquisition.

Zuckerberg is buying execution, not hype. Manus delivers revenue, talent, and deployable agents immediately. For businesses, this means capable AI agents are likely to roll out faster across Meta’s platforms.

🚀Quick Shifts

⚠️ AI’s darker side is surfacing as Grok and YouTube face backlash over sexually explicit, non-consensual AI-generated images, including minors, triggering government action in France and India.

⚙️ VCs say enterprise AI spend will rise in 2026, but flow to fewer vendors as companies cut experimentation, consolidate tools, and double down on products with real ROI and defensible moats.

Anthropic is set to directly buy nearly 1,000,000 TPUv7 chips from Broadcom, deploying them across partner-run data centers as TeraWulf, Hut8, Cipher Mining, and Fluidstack handle all infrastructure and on-site ops.

⚠️ European banks are bracing for a massive AI shakeup, with over 200,000 jobs projected to disappear by 2030 as automation cuts back-office, compliance, and risk roles by up to 30%.
