🍏 Apple’s Siri AI Overhaul Could Lean on Google Gemini

Apple is preparing a major Siri upgrade called World Knowledge Answers that will turn the assistant into an AI-powered answer engine. Bloomberg reports that Apple has struck a formal agreement with Google to test Gemini models on its servers, while still exploring Claude and in-house AI for planning functions. The rollout is expected alongside iOS 26.4 and the iPhone 17 launch in March 2026.

The Shift:

1. Siri’s World Knowledge Answers - Apple is developing a new AI search layer for Siri that can generate summaries from the web with text, photos, videos, and local info. The system uses a planner to interpret prompts, a search engine to scan data, and a summarizer to package answers, directly challenging AI search tools like OpenAI and Perplexity.

2. Google Deal and Perplexity Shift - Apple reached a formal deal to test Google’s Gemini models for Siri’s summaries, with terms reportedly more favorable than Anthropic’s $1.5B Claude proposal. At the same time, Apple shelved acquisition talks with Perplexity, choosing to build competing search features internally instead.

3. Internal Strain and Talent Exodus - Apple continues to face an AI brain drain, with robotics lead Jian Zhang departing for Meta and other researchers moving to OpenAI and Anthropic. These exits add pressure as Apple tries to compete with rivals while relying partly on Google’s technology.

Apple’s Siri overhaul highlights the company’s unusual dependence on competitors like Google at the very moment it is losing top AI talent. The decision to shelve Perplexity talks underscores Apple’s insistence on owning the search experience, but execution risks remain.

Goal: Make your product look premium and polished with smooth, professional motion, no studio crew or editing tools needed.

Step-by-Step: Product Reveal in LTX Studio

  1. Go to ltx.studio: Click on Video Gen Space.

  2. Choose Engine: Use LTXV (for polish) or Turbo (for speed).

  3. Set the Scene: Upload a product shot or generate one with AI.

Example: “High-end face serum on marble with natural light.”

  4. Add Camera Motion: Tap the “Camera” icon. Choose a preset:

    • “Product Orbit” for 360° spin

    • “Smooth Push” for elegant zoom-ins

    • “Tracking Side” for lifestyle B-roll feels

    • Preview how the shot moves in real time.

  5. Generate the Video: Hit render, you now have a cinematic product video.

🔥 Pro Tip: Run A/B tests with the same scene but different camera motions, for example, one fast-paced version for TikTok, one slow-dramatic for Meta ads.

🛒 Use for: Product launches, UGC-style repackaging, Landing page hero videos, Email/GIF loops

🛠️ WordPress Unveils Telex, Its Experimental AI Coding Tool

WordPress has introduced Telex, an early AI tool for building site features through simple prompts. Demoed by CEO Matt Mullenweg at WordCamp US 2025, Telex reflects the company’s push to blend “vibe coding” into its publishing ecosystem while still in a rough, prototype stage.

The Shift:

1. Telex Launch and Functionality - Telex lets users generate Gutenberg blocks, text, images, animations, and more by typing prompts. The tool outputs a .zip plugin that can be installed on WordPress or Playground, making site customization more accessible without coding.

2. Early Prototype Status - The tool is available at telex.automattic.ai but remains experimental, with testers reporting failures and buggy outputs. Mullenweg emphasized it as part of WordPress’ mission to lower technical barriers and keep publishing radically open-source and accessible.

3. Broader AI Experiments and Context - Alongside Telex, Mullenweg previewed a lightweight WordPress help assistant and praised Perplexity’s Comet browser for integration potential. He also briefly addressed WordPress’s legal dispute with WP Engine, noting it remains unresolved.

Telex signals WordPress’ entry into AI-powered development, aiming to make plugin and site creation easier for a global, non-technical audience. Though early and imperfect, it reflects how AI is being positioned as the next layer of accessibility in web publishing.
