SpaceX has filed confidentially for an IPO targeting a $1.75T+ valuation and a raise of up to $75B, which would more than double Saudi Aramco's $29B record as the largest public offering ever.

The Shift:
June Debut Beats Every AI Rival to Market - The SEC filing sets up a June listing that would make SpaceX the first US AI-era mega-IPO, reaching public markets before both OpenAI and Anthropic and establishing Elon Musk's company as the earliest major AI-adjacent listing.
xAI Got Folded In Before Filing - Musk absorbed xAI into SpaceX ahead of the IPO, though the AI side reportedly generates under $1B in revenue compared to the rocket business pulling in roughly $20B, making this overwhelmingly a space and infrastructure story.
Everyday Investors Get Access, but Musk Keeps Control - About 30% of shares will be open to retail investors, but a special two-tier voting structure ensures Musk retains full control of the company after going public, regardless of how widely ownership is distributed.
If this goes through at $1.75T+, SpaceX becomes one of the most valuable companies on Earth overnight. The timing matters too; beating OpenAI and Anthropic to public markets gives Musk a first-mover advantage in defining how investors price the AI era.

🎯 OpenAI's President Reveals the Playbook, and It All Comes Down to Compute
OpenAI just raised $122B. In a podcast with Alex Kantrowitz, co-founder Greg Brockman said the plan is fewer products, more compute, one super app, and AGI "within the next couple years." Separately, OpenAI is paying thousands of freelancers to train AI on their own jobs.

Sora Is Dead, and Everything Funnels Into One App
Sora is killed as a standalone product, with video research folding into robotics instead. Brockman: "Pursuing both branches is very hard for us." Everything now flows into one unified super app.

OpenAI Is Paying People to Train AI on Their Own Jobs
Business Insider revealed Project Stagecraft, where OpenAI pays up to 4,000 freelancers at least $50/hr through staffing partner Handshake AI to simulate real workflows across aviation, pharmacy, plant science, and HR.
Contractors build personas and map deliverables from their actual professions to create occupation-specific training data focused on knowledge work, not manual labour. One contractor was blunt: "We were basically training AI to replace us."
When asked how much compute to buy, Brockman said "all of it." Codex already goes beyond coding with Premiere plugins and Slack synthesis. One side builds the super app while the other trains AI on real human jobs, and both point in the same direction.
