🏛️ OpenAI Brings ChatGPT Enterprise to U.S. Government, For Just $1

OpenAI just made its boldest public-sector move yet: offering ChatGPT Enterprise to all federal agencies for a token $1 per year. The offer includes access to OpenAI’s most advanced models, along with robust compliance standards and training resources tailored for government use.

The Shift:

1. ChatGPT Enterprise goes federal, for $1 per agency - Through a GSA partnership, every U.S. federal agency can access ChatGPT Enterprise for $1 annually, including unlimited use of advanced features like Deep Research for the first 60 days.

2. Built-in training, support, and security - OpenAI will support agencies with custom onboarding, training resources, and partner-led sessions from Slalom and BCG. It also launched a dedicated user community and AI Academy for federal employees. Enterprise-grade security is guaranteed, with data privacy protections and full GSA-approved compliance.

3. AI already showing real-world time savings - Pilot programs in Pennsylvania and North Carolina saw employees save an average of 95 minutes per day using ChatGPT. 85% of users rated their experience as positive.

This isn’t a free trial; it’s OpenAI embedding itself into federal infrastructure at scale. The $1 offer is a strategic land grab designed to set usage norms before Anthropic or Google can respond. Whoever wins this race won’t just provide tools—they’ll shape how the U.S. government runs on AI.

🧠 Google DeepMind’s Genie 3 Can Build Whole Worlds From a Prompt

Google DeepMind has unveiled Genie 3, a real-time, general-purpose world model that can generate consistent, interactive environments from just one text prompt. It’s a major leap from Genie 2, with memory-driven frame-by-frame simulation, user-directed changes, and real-world physics baked in.

The Shift:

1. Frame-by-frame world-building with memory - Genie 3 generates 720p, 24fps worlds that evolve in real time, with built-in memory to preserve physics and visual continuity. The model “remembers” up to a minute of scene history and reasons across time steps to keep environments coherent.

2. Fully interactive and prompt-controllable - Users can edit environments mid-experience, adding characters, changing objects, or shifting entire physics parameters. Genie 3 also supports “promptable world events,” allowing open-ended changes based on input goals or creative prompts.

3. Designed for embodied AI and AGI training - Genie 3 is built to train generalist agents like SIMA in open-ended simulations, helping them learn like humans do, through trial, error, and exploration. Unlike hardcoded physics engines, it learns the rules of the world through self-supervised video prediction.

Genie 3 isn’t publicly available yet, but it’s already a strategic leap in embodied intelligence. With real-time feedback, memory, and prompt control, it creates consistent, adaptive worlds on the fly. If scaled, it could train future agents to reason, react, and learn inside dynamic environments, from factories to cities.
